The National Safety Day/Safety Week Operation being spearheaded by the Council for almost three decades to spot its Foundation Day (4th March) has considerably contributed to decline in the rate of business accidents and formed wide expand safety awareness even in such sectors which have not been covered by any safety legislation. The campaign is wide-ranging, general and flexible with an appeal to the participating organisations to develop specific activities as per their safety requirements.
